In the first year of Chongzhen (1628), he was promoted to zuochunfang and became an official of Jingyan. The compilation of Shenzong Shilu was completed, and he served as Shao Zhan Shi, Shidu bachelor and ZhengZhan Shi. Chongzhen five years (1632), promoted the Ministry of rites right minister.
In the sixth year of Chongzhen (1633), he was promoted to minister of rites and Bachelor of Dongge, and joined the cabinet with Wen Tiren and Wen Zhenmeng. In the first year of Longwu (1645), shaozong called him to be the first assistant of the cabinet, which disagreed with Zheng Zhilong. In the second year of Longwu (1646), he was promoted to minister of the Ministry of Li, Minister of the Ministry of war, and Bachelor of Jianji hall. He Wulu had foot disease, and shaozong ordered Li Guochen, an official of shaozong, to visit and give medicine. After shaozong died for the state, he Wuxuan established Zhu Yuxuan, the younger brother of shaozong, to supervise the state in Guangzhou.
At first, he was ordered to garrison and lead 3000 people to escort King Qin. However, as soon as he heard that the Qing army was approaching, he abandoned shaozong and fled to Guangzhou. Two days later, shaozong was arrested. Under the guise of he Wuxiang, the Qing army captured Tingzhou. So when he Wuxiang arrived in Guangzhou, everyone said he was the guide of the Qing army and hated him.
After the fall of Guangzhou, he Wuxiang saved his life and begged to rest the history of Ming Dynasty. He Tengjiao, an important Minister of the anti Qing Dynasty, was slandered as a thief. At that time, people commented that "I was really ashamed to die when I was writing history.".
After Li Chengdong, Li Yuanyin, the Minister of the Ministry of official affairs, recommended he Wuqu to resume his post and add Shaofu. Li Quan, Yang Zhong and other people are hawk dogs. Zhang Shang and Lin Yousheng fought with each other and were dismissed from office. Although yuan Pengnian came down to the Qing Dynasty with him at the same time, they despised him and impeached each other. Zhaozong sent Ma Jixiang to mediate, but it failed. He Wuxiang colluded with Xia Guoxiang and was impeached by Jinbao, Ding kuichu, Zhao Yu and others. He said he was ill and asked to leave. In the third year of Yongli (1649), he Wuxiang resigned and returned home. When Guangzhou fell again, he Wuxiang shaved his hair and changed his clothes.
Main works
His works include three volumes of yuanqichang poetry anthology, thirty volumes of yuanqitang literature anthology, two volumes of yunjixuan manuscript, four volumes of jingyanri jiaobaiji anthology, four volumes of Zhouyi Buzhu, four volumes of zhongluge anthology and four kinds of regular script. His poems are sincere and elegant. At that time, Ni Yuanlu, Kuang Lu and Wu Ruilong (from Xiaolan, Xiangshan) all returned together. He is also good at calligraphy, learning from Zhong Yao, Wang Xizhi, Su Shi and other famous masters, and learning Zhang Cao. His poems are highly praised. At that time, Xing Dong, Dong Qichang, Mi Wanzhong and Zhang ruitu, the four famous calligraphers in the world, convinced him to "set up a school outside the mountains". The selected works are bold and powerful, with the charm of Zhangcao.
