Zeng Dong, long Ji. He was born in Tengqiao, Linchuan County, Fuzhou Prefecture, Jiangxi Province in Ming Dynasty. The date of birth and death is unknown. In the 44th year of Wanli, Jinshi was an official of the Ming Dynasty. He made great contributions to pacifying the rebellion of Sichuan chieftain, and became a political envoy.

Hearing of Zeng Dongzhi, Dong Bu knelt down in front of the camp and said with tears, "in his early years, he went to the capital to pay tribute, offended the dignitaries and was framed repeatedly. He was saved and survived. His great kindness and virtue are unforgettable.". That is to say, a truce with Gaoji was signed. The riots that had harmed the safety of people's lives and property in Western Sichuan for many years ended without fighting. He was promoted to minister Zeng Dong and was seconded to Wude road. He built Wuding city with the hidden gold excavated in the field for the benefit of the people. Later, he served as Zhejiang's envoy and Fujian's envoy. He died in his eighties.
