Yang fa (1696-1748) is a native of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, who lives in Yangzhou.

He has a lot of knowledge, a high vision and a long life of cloth clothes. He is good at painting and calligraphy, but also good at engraving. The seal characters, Li, Xing and Cao are unique and vigorous. Seal script mostly uses Qubi and chanbi, with high ancient meaning; Li script is similar to Jinnong's lacquer script, which is clumsy and cold, with peculiar layout; running script is sparse and flexible, with great organization.

He once wrote an explanation for Tonghe, a servant of Zhou Dynasty, which was collected by Xu family, a salt merchant in Yangzhou (Huahe drew a picture for him), inscribed the name of "Heyuan" on the south side of Wuting bridge in Yangzhou (Gong banqian, Li He, Jinnong, etc.) and wrote the couplet of "Tongjian, Shangyue, liuxiafeng" in "Huangyuan" in Yangzhou east city. In 1745, Qianlong wrote nineteen volumes of Lishu ancient poems. He is good at flowers, natural and elegant, and has charm, similar to Hua Yan. The title of his book is larger than that of his painting, and his paintings are rarely circulated.
