Zeng Tingmei (1734-1816) was born in Nancheng county. He was named Xiangshu.
Zeng Tingmei, who was a little older, knew that he was self-supporting and was famous for his filial piety. When he was 16 years old, he was teaching in a rural school. He met the magistrate of Jianchang Prefecture who presented the picture of Lushan waterfall as the title and ordered him to write a long poem. The magistrate was shocked by the fact that he was awarded the first place and accepted as a student of the county. The examination is in the front row, making up for the students. After that, he did not take part in the imperial examination, and was not good at handing over with dignitaries. He was the head of the Academy in Hecheng, humanities, Meijiang, Zhiyang, Changli, Shaowen and Jingyang. Tingmei was good at learning, especially in primary school. It was once said that "the six characters are the keys of the ancient classics, and the characters are unknown. Where is the text?" he is good at calligraphy, and he has many titles in Fucheng. His younger brother, Zeng tingchui, and nephew, Zeng Xun, both learned from him. Later, they all became scholars, and their names were obvious at that time. Tingmei's 12 volumes of "Xiangshu ManChao Shanglue" are widely related to scholars of classics and history. In addition, he has 4 volumes of Qun Jing Zi Kao, 12 volumes of lazy Ji Shi Chao, 7 kinds of Liao Yu Qiu Shu and 12 volumes of fan Xiang Shan Fang Shi Ji.
