Cao Xigui (1871-1913), born in Shanghai, is a modern Chinese democratic revolutionist. He joined the Chinese League in 1905 and took part in the 1911 Revolution. In 1913, he took part in the crusade against Yuan Shikai and was defeated and killed.
Cao Xigui (1871-1913), born in Shanghai, is a modern Chinese democratic revolutionist. In the early years, it was mainly engaged in mineral resources. In 1905, he joined the Chinese League. He developed mineral resources in Yuanjiang, Western Hunan Province, took capital accumulation as military supplies, and contacted revolutionary forces in Hunan, Hunan and Zhejiang. In 1911, the revolution of 1911 broke out. In response to the Wuchang Uprising, the miners went down from Xiangxi to the east along the Yangtze River and armed themselves with accumulated armaments. In November, he conquered Nanjing with Li Tiancai and Huang Hanxiang. In February 1912, he founded Minli Library in Shanghai with Yu Youren and Zhang jiluan. Soon, Yuan Shikai was autocratic. Cao Xigui, together with Li Liejun and Bai Wenwei in Nanjing, declared that he was defeated and killed. Chengrennong is named in memory of Cao Xigui.
