Peng Hua
Peng Hua (January 2, 1956 - January 8, 2018), male, Han nationality, born in 1956 in Dangshan County, Anhui Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China. Professor and doctoral supervisor of School of geography and planning, Sun Yat sen University. Experts who enjoy "special government allowance" from the State Council.
Professor Peng Hua has made important achievements in the research of geography related disciplines. His published works involve geological structure, geomorphology, physical geography, applied fine arts, tourism geography, tourism planning, natural heritage management and protection, etc. He has published 16 books and more than 120 papers.
On January 8, 2018, Professor Peng Hua died of illness in Guangzhou at the age of 62.

Peng Hua was born in Dangshan County, Anhui Province in 1956. He graduated from high school in 1974 and returned to his hometown. He was a private teacher, production team leader and team secretary. He was admitted to the Geography Department of Anhui Normal University in 1977. He graduated in January 1982 and was assigned to Suzhou teachers college. In 1992, he went to Renhua county of Guangdong Province to "go to the mountains and the countryside" again. He was employed as assistant director and chief engineer of the Management Committee of Danxia Mountain scenic spot, and presided over the development of yangyuanshi scenic spot and Xianglong Lake scenic spot of Danxia Mountain and the design and construction of new mountain gate. In 1995, he was transferred to the Department of urban and resource planning, School of Geosciences and planning, Sun Yat sen University. he has successively served as the third, fourth and fifth directors of the national Danxia landform Tourism Development Research Association, and is an academic leader in the field of Danxia landform tourism development in China. In 2003-2004, he successfully presided over the application of Danxia Mountain as a World Geopark, and his series of achievements on Sustainable Utilization of Danxia landscape resources won the second prize of science and technology progress award of Ministry of education in 2006 and the second prize of science and technology progress award of Guangdong Province in 2007. In 2006-2010, he successfully presided over the joint application for world natural heritage of "Danxia in China" of six southern provinces, won the first-class merit of Guangdong Provincial People's government, the special contribution award of Jiangxi, Zhejiang and other provincial people's governments, and the outstanding contribution award of the leading group of joint application for world heritage of six southern provinces. in the practice of tourism development, new ideas, new methods and new theories have been constantly summarized and refined, and a large number of new achievements have been made in the theoretical research of tourism destination development, tourism culture, urban tourism, regional tourism development and tourism planning, with significant innovation significance. In terms of applied research, he independently presided over the planning and design of more than 20 trans provincial and provincial, municipal and county-level tourism development plans, more than 40 world natural heritage sites, national scenic spots, geoparks and various tourism areas. Adhering to the principle of combining pragmatism with innovation, he has remarkable social, economic and environmental benefits. He is a practical, pioneering and compound tourism planning and design expert. In 2002, it was awarded a great prize by Renhua county people's government. until July 2015, he served as chairman of the red bed and Danxia working group of the International Association of geomorphologists, leader of the red bed and Danxia research working group of the Chinese geographical society, member of the world heritage Expert Committee of the Ministry of housing and urban rural development of the people's Republic of China, member of the tourism geology and geopark branch of the Chinese Geological Society, member of the tourism geography, geomorphology and quaternary Professional Committee of the Chinese Geological Society, and member of the Danxia World Natural Heritage Committee of China Director of the industry expert committee. He is an academic leader in the research field of red beds and Danxia at home and abroad. great achievements have been made in tourism development, tourism culture, urban tourism, regional tourism development and tourism planning theory. In the aspect of applied research, he independently presided over the planning and design of more than 60 national scenic spots, geoparks and tourist areas across the provincial level, one provincial level, nine municipal level, 12 county level, and cooperatively presided over the tourism planning of one provincial level and two municipal level. In 1992, he took the lead in bringing the ideas and methods of tourism development planning and tourism image planning into the tourism planning system. He completed the urban image planning of Anyang City, the project planning of Yinshang romance Cultural Park, the development planning of Xianglong Lake scenic spot and Yangyuan mountain scenic spot of Danxia Mountain. In 1993, he introduced the tourism marketing planning and image planning into the tourism development planning of Shaoguan City In 1995, it applied tourism culture and tourism industry planning to Qingyuan tourism development planning. In 1996, it put forward the concept of "tourism unlimited" as the core of the grand tourism. He is an expert in tourism planning and design, which is practical, pioneering and complex.
