Zhang Mu
Zhang Mu, male, was born on April 24, 1929. Former deputy political commissar and Deputy Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Navy's South China Sea Fleet aviation force, major general of the Navy. He was fond of calligraphy since childhood and graduated from the first seminar of training center of China Calligrapher Association. CPC member, Professor of animal production, master supervisor. He once worked in the Provincial Bureau of land reclamation and was the director of animal husbandry and Veterinary Department of the provincial university of land reclamation.
Social position
He has successively served as a researcher of China Senior calligraphy and painting art association, a consultant of Zhongyuan calligraphy and painting art research institute, a researcher of Guangxi Guilin Yanhuang calligraphy and painting art research institute, an art consultant of Shenzhen world celebrity art city, and a member of Beijing Calligraphy and Painting Association.
Artistic achievements
In 1996, he won the gold medal of "long live the motherland" and "houlongbei" national calligraphy competition. His works won the gold medal in the second Asian calligraphy and painting exchange competition and the Sixth International Calligraphy and painting aesthetic exhibition. His works were sent to Korea, Japan, Brazil, Guilin and other places for exhibition and collection. In the national calligraphy exhibition of "China's star of the age", he won the "special honor award" from the art talent center of the Ministry of culture, the "cross century 99" calligraphy talent certificate awarded by China literature and art magazine, and the "excellent artists on both sides of the Taiwan Strait" honorary title awarded by the third "five sub cup" calligraphy and painting exhibition on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The work has also been selected as the "masterpiece of calligraphy and painting" by people's artists edited by Central South Executive Committee of China and won the "silver medal award for people's calligraphy and painting artists for the 50th anniversary of the people's Republic of China". Zhang Mu's calligraphy collection will be published soon. He was awarded the rank of major general in September 1988. He died in Beijing on February 21, 2009 at the age of 80.
