After that, Zhang Yizhi and others were more reckless, corrupt and perverted the law. The imperial censor impeached him and ordered Zong Jinqing, Li Chengjia, Huan yanfan and Yuan Shuji to examine him. However, Jia Jingyan, the chief criminal officer, observed Wu Zetian's mind and told Zhang changzong to buy other people's goods by force. He was sentenced to compensation for the crime and property. Li Chengjia and Huan yanfan Jinyan said: "Zhang changzong embezzled four million yuan of stolen money and should be dismissed." Zhang changzong said: "I have contributed to the establishment of the country and should not be dismissed." Wu Zetian consulted the prime ministers, and the internal history ordered Yang Zaisi to say: "Zhang changzong presided over the refining of drugs, and his majesty swallowed them very effectively.
