Zhang Shizhong, male, born in August 1938, graduated from the Art Department of Qujing Normal University in July 1962. He began to work in August of the same year and engaged in art creation and guidance in the Cultural Museum of Yiliang County, Kunming city. He is a first-class artist, visiting associate professor and associate research librarian of Japan National Academy of art and calligraphy. He is the director of the World Artists Association, the member of Yunnan branch of China Artists Association, the member of Beijing and China Three Gorges painting academy, the member of China paper cutting society, the vice president of Yunnan library ticket Research Association, and the director of Kunming Artists Association. After work, he went to the printing class of the provincial art museum and the oil painting skills class of the Central Academy of fine arts for further study. Mr. Pan Shixun, a professor of the Central Academy of fine arts, taught the painting techniques such as transparent painting, saponified wax, and the Western formulation of pigments and media.

Woodcut works

In May 1990, watermark woodcut "dawn song" won the first-class excellent work award in the international competition, and the work was collected. In September 1995, the out of print woodcut "bullfight" was selected for the exhibition of China International Fair sponsored by China Federation of literary and art circles and won the second prize. In November 1994, the out of print and overprinted woodcut "the great fragrance of the ancient city" was exhibited in Taiwan and won the gold medal. It was also published in the golden collection of Star Art in Taiwan. Printmaking library tickets have been selected into the National Library tickets exhibition and national collection for many times.

paper-cut works

"Happy moon" and "dance" were selected in the first national paper-cut works competition in October 1989 and won the excellent prize. The oil painting "beyond" won the second prize of the third Yunnan Sports Art Exhibition in December 1992, and the watercolor painting "daluojiang River" won the excellent prize of the four southwest provinces art exhibition in October 1988. In March 1997, "sister in ancient costume" was selected into the second China Japan elite Grand Prix and exhibited in Japan, winning the silver award. In October 1997, the third national senior calligraphy and painting talent exchange meeting was held in Shanghai. Zhang Shizhong, a specially invited researcher, attended the meeting. At the meeting, 10 works, including Zhang Shizhong's oil painting "Axi Fire Festival" were exhibited, which were highly praised by experts and won a special award from the talent center of the Ministry of personnel. Zhang Shizhong's collection of paintings was published by Yunnan Fine Arts Publishing House in August 1998. Two works of oil painting and print are included in the National Fine Arts CD. In September 1999, watercolor painting "fresh spring" and print painting "dark boat" were selected into the third world art Congress Hong Kong large-scale art exhibition and won the special gold award.
