Zhang tingji
Zhang tingji (1768-1848) was an epigraphist and calligrapher in Qing Dynasty. His original name was Rulin. He was named Shunan, Shuwei, zuotan, disciple of Haiyue nunnery, old man meishou and native of Xinhuang, Jiaxing, Zhejiang. In the third year of Jiaqing (1798), Jieyuan failed in the later examinations, so he engaged in academic research and artistic creation. Gongshi CI has a simple style and is good at using allusions. He is good at the study of textual research on gold and stone. He is especially good at appreciating cultural relics. He can distinguish the authenticity and origin of each Monument and utensil. I like to collect all kinds of ancient artifacts, including Dingyi, tablet, calligraphy and painting.

Zhang tingji's collection from Shang and Zhou Dynasties to modern times, many of which are precious and rare. There are also a large number of coins collected since the Zhou and Qin Dynasties. He was good at painting and calligraphy. He was good at seal, official script, and regular script. At the beginning, he imitated Zhong Yao and Wang Xizhi. After 50 years, he came and went between Yan Zhenqing and Ouyang Jue. In his later years, he was also a fa Mi Fu. Cao Li was the first-class official at that time. The game for Mei, quite a lot of ancient fun. In the 25th year of Jiaqing (1820), he tried to imitate the picture of Jinnong Luohan, and in the 10th year of Daoguang (1830), he tried to make a four style calligraphy screen. When Ruan Yuan studied in Zhejiang Province, he attached great importance to it and had close contacts with it. Eighty one years old. There are many books handed down from generation to generation.

His works include the inscriptions on gold and stone, the inscriptions on ancient utensils collected in Qingyi Pavilion, the inscriptions and postscripts on Qingyi Pavilion, the printed score of Qingyi Pavilion, the collection of meishou hall and Guixin hall, etc. His deeds are included in ouboluoshi calligraphy and painting, Jiaxing Fu Zhi, biography of Jinshi family calligraphy and painting collection and biography of Guangyin people. Zhang tingji's former residence was in Taiping temple, Chaonan street, Xinhuang Town, the suburb of Jiaxing City, and survived before the Anti Japanese war. The Qing Yi pavilion was destroyed as early as the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty. A large number of antiquities were lost, and the remaining antiquities were sold by their descendants until the 1920s and 1930s. On April 27, 1938, the Japanese aggressors burned and plundered Xinhuang, and most of Zhang tingji's former residence was destroyed.

After failing in the ritual department, he lived in seclusion in the countryside and entertained himself by collecting books, calligraphy and stones. From Shang and Zhou Dynasties to modern times, all kinds of calligraphy and painting of gold and stone were collected. There are a lot of Yi Ding, FA Shu and famous paintings in the collection. There was once a copper plate of Han Chang Li Ji, which was published by Meng Chang of Shu Dynasty after five dynasties. It was engraved with four lines of regular script. Each line had four words: "Yi Qi and FA, Shi Zheng and PA, Chun Qiu and strict, Zuo's boast". It is a rare product. When Ruan Yuan was studying in Zhejiang, he was appointed jinshijiao with him. His collection of books was well-known for a time. He built a "Qingyi Pavilion" to collect books, ancient utensils, gold, stone, calligraphy and painting. Chen Zhan wrote Qing Yi Ge Ji for him, but he did not record the number of books in his collection. The book collection is printed with "Qing Yi Ge Zhang Shu Wei Ting Ji Yin" and so on. His works include the collection of guiqiantang, the inscriptions and postscripts of qingyige, the printed score and poetry copy of qingyige, and the collection of meishoutang.
