Liao Jingwen was born in Louxian County, Songjiang Prefecture (Qingpu), in 1747. He was the magistrate of Hefei County, and he had Liao Gutan poem.
Life of the characters
Liao Jingwen was elected from Miyun in the 12th year of Qianlong (1747). From 1751 to 1752, Qianlong served in Yangzhou. From 1754 to 1754, Qianlong served in Heyang with outstanding achievements. In the 19th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, it was listed on the Mingtong list. From the 21st to the 27th year of Qianlong reign, he was elected the magistrate of Hefei. In the summer of the 27th year, he was removed from office by Shenge and never became an official again. His works include six volumes of Yinxiang collection, eight volumes of Qingqi collection, eight volumes of ancient sandalwood poetry and xihuaxuan poetry. Liao Jingwen is good at poetry, calligraphy and painting, especially in rhythm, and is friendly with playwright Jin Zhaoyan. During his tenure in Hefei, he had a family class and created three kinds of dramas: The Legend of yizhenji and the short dramas of biqiang and Guqu based on the story of Zhou Yu. On March 3 of the 38th year of Qianlong (1773), Liao jingban, his second younger brother, said in his "Xianxing puppet pen": "my elder brother, Gu Tan, also works in Yuefu. His works include the legends of Zhou Langgu, Luo Fu Meng, Yu Ma Zhui, Xiao Qing Yizhen Ji and Li Mian's cracked flute Ji." Therefore, all his plays were written years ago.
