Profile
Pang Shizhao (1895-1964), a famous man, was born in Qijiang County, Chongqing. His father's name was Dezhong. He used to work in the countryside. Because he was poor, he worked as a cook in Chengdu. Pang Shizhao was born in Chengdu in September 1895. As a boy, he was loved by his parents because he had no brother. He began to study in private schools, then went to primary school, and then went to business school. At the age of 17, he dropped out of school because of family poverty. After dropping out of school, Pang Shishu taught his nephew Xiao Jianshi to study in his sister Xiao's family and worked as a teacher. When he was 20 years old, his father died and his family became poorer. Once he went to see a doctor because of illness, he met Shen Shaojiu, a famous doctor. Shen appreciated his talent very much, so he asked him to go to the Shen family education center.
Pang Shichu learned intelligently when he was young. Although he lost the opportunity to study in school, he worked harder and harder to make ends meet when he was in a difficult situation. At that time, Zhang Zhidong wrote "Che Chieh Xuan Yu" and "bibliography Q & a" for Sichuan scholars, which had a great influence. Inspired by these books, Pang Shizhen believed and practiced, so he found a way to study. He read the classics and officials, as well as miscellaneous books and novels. His poems are deep, broad and gorgeous, parallel and scattered. Su (SHI), Wang (Anshi) and Huang (Tingjian) were the poets, while Jiang yaozhang was the most popular poet in the Southern Song Dynasty.
In 1919, when Pang Shizhao was 24 years old, he presented his poems to Zhao Yaosheng in Rongxian county. Zhao Ji wrote to huayanglin Shanyu (Sijin) for recommendation. At that time, Lin Shanyu was the principal of Huayang County Middle School (now Chengdu No.3 middle school), and employed Pang Shishu to teach in Huayang county middle school. In 1920, Zhang Chongmin (Zheng) hired Pang Shizhao to teach in LIANLI middle school (now Chengdu Shibao middle school). In 1924, Xiang Xianqiao (Chu), a disciple of Zhao Yaosheng in Rong County, recommended Pang Shizhao as a professor of Chengdu Normal University (the predecessor of Sichuan University). Since then, Pang has been teaching in the University. He has successively served as professor and head of Chinese Department of Chengdu Normal University, Professor of Sichuan University, professor and head of Chinese Department of West China Union University, and professor and head of Chinese Department of Guanghua University. At that time, the life of a teacher was so hard that he had to teach middle school at the same time. He has also taught Huayang middle school, Chengdu LIANLI middle school, Chengdu County Middle School (now Chengdu No.7 Middle School) and private Shude middle school (now Chengdu No.9 middle school). Pang Shizhao rose to the cold, clean and turbid world, and did not join any party before liberation. His outstanding talent and noble moral character are respected and admired by all the students he has taught.
After liberation, Pang Shizhao was still a professor and director of the teaching and research section of classical literature in Sichuan University, and directed graduate students. From the summer of 1951 to the spring of 1952, he studied in the teacher research class of colleges and universities run by Chongqing Southwest University of reform and technology. At that time, he was nearly 60 years old, but he listened carefully to reports, studied documents, took notes, and strengthened his ideological transformation. After returning to Sichuan University, he was still a professor of Chinese department and director of classical literature teaching and research section, and trained postgraduates. He was very responsible for teaching and research.
Pang Shizhao teaches in the Chinese Department of Sichuan University, and takes courses in the history of Chinese literature, selected works, selected poems and selected Ci poems, among which Chinese literary criticism is the most popular. He taught this course with Liu Yanhe's Wenxindiaolong and Zhang Taiyan's guogulunheng (Volume I and Volume II). He once wrote a book named Shuzheng of Guogu Lun Heng. He not only studied the classics, Buddhist scriptures and foreign books involved in Zhang Taiyan's original works one by one, and distinguished right from wrong, but also discussed the original words and sentences of Zhang Taiyan's works, which is a rare extensive and profound work. He has a lot of incisive opinions about Wen Xin Diao Long. Especially, he often relates to the relationship between poetry criticism and Liu Shu after the Tang and Song dynasties. His lectures on expert poems are based on two collections of Du Fu and Su Shi, and his lecture notes have been published in Caotang (issue 2, 1981). Pang began to write three volumes of yangqingbao notes in 1963, which was published by Sichuan literature and Art Publishing House. The book has the characteristics of correct point of view, beautiful diction, thought-provoking and vexatious words. After its publication, the book participated in the Hong Kong Book Fair. Not only domestic scholars praised it, but also scholars from Hong Kong, Taiwan and foreign countries attached great importance to it. His poems are accumulated in the collection of manuscripts, and his students collate them into yangqingbao poetry and yangqingbao poetry.
Pang Shizhao teaches his students, helps them to make progress and spare no effort. All the students who have taught in Sichuan University, West China Union University and Chenghua University have established their own standards. Qu Shouyuan, a student he taught in Sichuan University, founded the Chinese Department of Chenghua university after graduation, and later became a professor and head of the Chinese Department of Sichuan Normal University. Xiang Chu, his last graduate student, is now a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Department of Sichuan University.
Pang Shizhen supported the Communist Party and loved new China. In 1956, he went to Beijing via Wuhan to attend a seminar on the history of Chinese literature and wrote a group of poems about his journey. "Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge" poem: "the vast Jia water without waves, nine track Xu see the past. Later generations didn't know that the natural moat was dangerous. The ancients said that they were driving a turtle (Note: "the bridge foundation is visible, Xiji.") The poem "arriving in Beijing" says: "in addition to the thorns and thorns, there is a special weather in Changhe. Liu Lang and I have different thoughts. Xuandu is better than Xiandu today. " (Note: "I traveled to old Beijing in 1934, and now I've been in Beijing for 22 years. I've been looking forward to it for a long time His patriotism and inspiring ambition are fully expressed in these works.
Pang Shizhen died of pulmonary heart disease in December 1964.
