Chang Gung (729-783), named Yifu, was born in Wenxian County, Hanoi prefecture (now Wenxian County, Henan Province). During the period of emperor Dezong of Tang Dynasty, the Prime Minister of Sanyuan county was often the son of Wuwei.
In the 14th year of Tianbao (755), the number one scholar ascended the throne and was granted the title of "living man". In the first year of Yongtai (765), he was awarded Zhongshu Sheren. In the first year of Guangde (763), he was granted the title of youbuque, a Bachelor of Hanlin, and a member of wailang. In 774, he was promoted to minister of rites. For three consecutive years, he presided over the scientific examination. Be cautious and stick to the rules. In the 12th year of Dali (777), he formally worshipped the prime minister, took charge of the government, and was canonized as the Duke of Hanoi Prefecture. After Tang Dezong ascended the throne, he was demoted to Henan Shaoyin, then demoted to Chaozhou governor, and moved to Fujian to observe. Paying attention to cultural education, setting up rural schools and giving lectures in person have boosted the style of writing in Fujian.
In the fourth year of Jianzhong (783), he died in office at the age of 55.
Life of the characters
He was born in the 17th year of Kaiyuan (729) and the 14th year of Tianbao (755). When he arrived at the prime minister, he was demoted to Fujian observation envoy. His father, Chang Wuwei, was the prefect of Sanyuan county. After Chang Gong ascended the throne, he was given the title of buque living Lang by the prince, and Zhongshu Sheren in the first year of Yongtai (765). In the 12th year of Dali (777), after Yang Wan died of illness, he took charge of the government. With excellent diction and ranking as the standard of employment, the road of buying officials is blocked. The salary of the officials in the court was also determined by their likes and dislikes. He was granted the Duke of Hanoi. After Dezong ascended the throne, he was demoted to be Shaoyin of Henan Province, and then demoted to be the governor of Chaozhou. Soon for Fujian observation. Chang Guan attached great importance to education, set up rural schools and taught in person, which inspired the style of writing in Fujian. Under his reward, Ouyang Zhan, the number one scholar in Panhu during the reign of emperor Dezong of Tang Dynasty, Xu Hui, the number one scholar in Xucun, and other generations of scholars "ascended in Jianghuai and reached the capital". He died in the fourth year of Jianzhong (783) of emperor Dezong of Tang Dynasty. At the age of 55, he was awarded to Zuo pushe, the minister.
Chang Gung's character is aloof and arrogant, and he doesn't make friends with others. He is strict in his administration, advocates thrift and opposes corruption. There are ten volumes of anthology and sixty volumes of Zhaoji. There are nine poems in Quan Tang Shi.
Anecdotes and allusions
When Chang Gung was in charge of Fujian Province, a monk was good at inferring the number of Qi and fate by observing people's looks. Every calculation was as effective as a God. Chang gun pity the old monk, let him accept a disciple to inherit his Xiangshu. The monk said, "this kind of thing depends on nature and can't be easily taught to others. I found one of the people around you to teach. "Chang Gung called all the people around him, and the old monk chose a small official named Huang Che, so Chang Gung asked him to learn Xiangshu from the monk. The old monk hung five kinds of silk fabrics on the rack in a dark room and asked Huang Che to select them. The old monk said, "most people can't give full play to their eyesight. As long as you look at him carefully, you can discern white faintly in ten days; after six months, you can see five colors clearly. "The old monk taught Huang Che," if you can distinguish the colorful silk in the dark, you can meet people in the daytime and predict the future. "So the old monk taught Huang Che the secret of face-to-face, and predicted that no one could surpass him. Li Jifu said: "Huang Che is second only to Yuan Tiangang and Xu Cangmi! "
