Zong Yan, a monk of Yuan Dynasty, was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. His main work is the collection of Bishan hall.

Zong Yan was good at calligraphy. He read all kinds of books, but only grew up in poetry. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, he lived in the beautiful landscape of Lingjia temple in Shihu lake. At that time, many famous people traveled with him, which was approved by Jueyin Chenggong, the elder of Taipu in weihanlin. He chose Jiahe dezang temple as the leader of sengsheng hall, and then debated and heard about it. When he died at the age of 43, sun xibaijin succeeded him. Tao was originally a poem, which took Shaoling as its ancestor. Taking metaphor for tuoxing and getting the purpose of Fengren, the book is called the collection of Bishan hall. At the beginning, Taipu and Daoyuan knew each other but never met each other. During the Hongwu revolution, Taipu returned to Jiangnan, and Daoyuan died for a long time. This is the first cloud of the order.
