Yao Chengen (1796-1851) was named Tongyun and Langshan. Zhili Tianjin (now Tianjin) people. Officials in Qing Dynasty.
Yao Chengen traveled with his father in Jiangnan since he was a child. In the second year of Daoguang (1822), he was elected as the magistrate of suixian County in Henan Province. Yao Chengen was two Henan provincial examiner in Dao Guang fifteen years (1835) and Dao Guang seventeen (1837), and later transferred to Wuyang magistrate in Henan. Yao Chengen returned to his hometown to keep filial piety because of his mother's death. After his funeral, he served successively as the county magistrate of GAIPING, Chengde and the prefecture magistrate of Liaoyang. As an official, Yao Chengen had a lot of achievements and knowledge. Yao Chengen and you Gong's poems and Fu. Zhang Kejia's inscription praises him: "living flowers, strong pen, dreaming of Su soul," who can argue with me.
