Life of the characters
Tang Lian's family is in Nanqiao (now xiakan neighborhood committee of Qiongshan District), which is very close to pandan village. It can be inferred that Tang LianBo also studied in Pandanyi school before he went to Minzhong with his father.
His father was pious in the middle of Fujian Province. Yang Jinxian called it "unparalleled in the south of the five ridges". He was as famous as Xu Ren. Jingtai Kuiyou (1453) ranked second, zhongjieyuan and Xu Ren. However, he died without taking part in the examination. Wang Zuo wrote his inscription: "if he asked about Tianbian Road, the first person from the south of Wuling."

Learning from Yang Qian, he marveled at Tang LianBo's talent and ambition, and praised him as "the best scholar in Lingnan".

According to the Tang clan genealogy of tezou hall, Tang Lian's uncle Tang Qian was appointed as the official of Liancheng County, Tingzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province during the Xuande period.
Tang Dengying, his grandfather, was a year old Gongsheng, who was granted a general sentence by Huguang Yunyang Prefecture.
Great grandfather Tang Yao (ziyingguang) was a year-old Gongsheng of Qiongzhou Prefecture. He was appointed as the county magistrate of Jinxiang, Yanzhou Prefecture, Shandong Province.
Wang Zuo is only eight years older than Tang LianBo, but he is his cousin by seniority. As a matter of fact, Tang LianBo and Wang Zuo are not only close friends, but also friends of each other.
