Yu Zhen
Yu Zhen (1690-1750), named Hequan, Qiutian and Lianyi, is a native of Jintan, Jiangsu Province. He was born in a scholarly family. In the first year of Yongzheng (1723) of the Qing Dynasty, Kuimao, the number one scholar of keenke in the examination, was granted the Imperial Academy to write, and soon entered the South study to serve. In the fourth year of Yongzheng reign, he supervised the study of politics in Hubei Province. Because he added two places without authorization, he was dethroned and demoted as a commoner. However, because of his life and knowledge, and his excellent knowledge and unique views, he was transferred to the post of deputy secretary of pedestrian department.

In the year of Yongzheng yuan in Qing Dynasty, guimaoke set up a special Enke to celebrate the great ceremony of Yongzheng emperor. Emperor Yongzheng congratulated Yu Zhen on his accession to the throne. In addition to the regular appointment of Hanlin Academy Xiuzhuan, also let him to Xiuzhuan into the value of the South study. In the second year of Yongzheng, Yu Zhen became the chief examiner of Henan provincial examination. In the third year of Yongzheng reign, Chenghuai garden was granted. In the fifth year of Yongzheng reign, he was in charge of Hubei University. Later, he was demoted to Deputy Secretary for pedestrians. In the first year of Qianlong reign (1736), he was recommended by Shi Yi, the Minister of the Ministry of finance of Zhenjing, and ranked first in the imperial examination of Hongci. He was appointed editor of Hanlin Academy. In the third year of Qianlong's reign, Yu Zhen became the chief examiner of Jiangxi Township examination. In the fifth year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, Yu Zhenyi edited and supervised Fujian University. He moved to be an official for a bachelor's degree. Yu zhensu does not flatter, he is upright and fair. In the examination and promotion of academic and political affairs, he impartially selected scholars, awarded talents, and enjoyed the reputation of knowing people. Although it was demoted, it was recommended and used again. Yu Zhen has been studious since childhood and is famous for his articles and calligraphy. Calligraphy is completely similar to the famous pen and ink. Later, with profound calligraphy attainments, it was valued by the world. Collectors regard his calligraphy as a treasure. Bao Shichen rated Yu Zhen's running script as the best in his Yizhou Shuangyi. He can also write poetry. In the 10th year of Yongzheng reign, Yu zhenzeng wrote a preface to the legend of Yangzhou crane. He also participated in the compilation of Zi Shi Ying Hua. His calligraphy and articles are highly praised by the world and have a good reputation.
