Wu Shixian was born in Maolin, Jingxian County, Anhui Province in the Southern Song Dynasty.
In the 30th year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1160), he was a Jinshi. At the beginning, he was a county magistrate in Jiangyin and a judge in Guangnan East Road. Wu Shixian was honest and upright, committed to change the harsh government, supervised the Bank of fengcang, investigated and dealt with the malpractice, and spared no effort to be framed. Later, he served as Chao zoerlang and Chao Qinglang, and moved Anfeng county. In anfengxing school, the tree is cultivated. In the fifth year of Shaoxi's reign (1194), Anfeng suffered a serious disaster, and the hungry people blocked their way. He opened a warehouse for relief, and the people benefited from it. In the second year of the Ying Yuan Dynasty (1196), the three events were all political figures. Wu Shixian was famous for his honesty and integrity all his life, especially for his self-discipline. The stone carvings and bookcases he carried were nothing else. Wu Shixian's poems are of strong style.
