brief introduction
Wu Bida (1705 -?) Its name is Tongqing, and its name is Biya. He was born in xibian street, Datong Street, Tong'an County, Fujian Province. He was a military officer of the Qing Dynasty in 1730. He came to Beijing in the 25th year of Qianlong's reign to admire the peacock plume. He served successively as garrison of guanghaizhai Navy in Guangdong, deputy general of Xiangshan in Guangdong, general of Wenzhou Navy in Zhejiang in 1758, general of left wing army in Guangdong in 1760-1763, commander-in-chief of water and land in Guangdong in 1763-1764, commander-in-chief of Fujian Navy in 1764-1769 (in charge of water and land officers and soldiers of Pengtai in 1769, he was the highest military chief of Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty).
experience
When he was appointed governor of Guangdong, Wu Bida attached great importance to the defense of the South China Sea. He once commanded the navy to patrol the Dongsha, Xisha, Nansha Zhu islands and record the islands and reefs, leaving valuable information for our country to safeguard the sovereignty of the Paracel Islands. In the 1970s, the Central Military Commission specially sent people to Tongan to inspect the "Tidu yamen" and collect relevant information from Wu's descendants. In 1766, Wu Bida went to Beijing again to worship Yongzheng mausoleum with Emperor Qianlong. At that time, Wu Bida's mother was on her ninety first birthday. Emperor Qianlong gave her birthday plaque and wrote "xuanshou Yanqi" in person. Shoubian is made of Phoebe. The first one is "February 21, the 31st year of Qianlong", and the second one is "ninety one shoubian for the mother of Wu Bida, the commander of Fujian navy". The longevity plaque is 2.3 meters wide, 0.66 meters high and weighs about 300 Jin. This plaque is still in good condition. It was originally hung in the lobby of Wu Bida's former residence in Tong'an. A few years ago, it fell down due to the broken wire line hanging the longevity plaque, which damaged a tricycle underneath. Fortunately, the longevity plaque was not damaged. When I visited my former residence on November 2, the plaque was placed next to the lobby. Due to the weak light, Wu Guoan and Wu Jinyao, descendants of the Wu family, were very enthusiastic and made great efforts to move it to the front for me to take photos. Beside the original plaque, there was a wooden longevity couplet inscribed by Cai Xin, Prime Minister of the Qianlong Dynasty. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in the cultural revolution. Wu Bida had been an official for more than 30 years. He got rid of bad habits and straightened out the army. He was well-known for his honesty and was well accepted by the army and the people. His official quality is not high, but the emperor's plaque and the prime minister's couplet show his prominent position at that time. But he never deceives others with his power, and he is kind to others everywhere. When he was building a house beside Anxi, he had already designed the drawing and constructed it. The neighbor surnamed Ye next door came to discuss and hoped that the lane would be wider to facilitate access. Wu Bida agreed and asked the construction workers to leave the lane wide enough for the sedan chair to walk horizontally. When I went there, Mr. Wu Jinyao specially pointed to the right lane and hucuo for me to see. Because the width of the lane was enough, the hucuo on the right side was several meters narrower than that on the left side. Up to now, Tongan people still spread the slang saying that "there is a thousand year old tanziweiye, but there is no hundred year old Wu Tidu" to persuade people that "harmony is precious". Wu Bida's former residence, located at 175 xibian street, Datong Street, Tong'an District, is a cultural relic protection unit promulgated by Tong'an District in 2006, commonly known as "Tidu yamen" or "Wu Tidu Fu". It was originally composed of Si Luo Da CuO and San Luo Hu Cuo. The existing main former residence faces south, with brick and stone walls, lifting beam and wood frame, hard mountain tile roof, 12.23 meters in width, 35 meters in depth, and covers an area of 428 square meters, with a total of 28 rooms. The front, middle and back of the main building are three entrances and three bays, with swallow tail style hard mountain cloth tile roof, two ends of the roof are set with cross toe pottery kisses, and there is a spacious brick city in front of the front building. Sanluodacuo is surrounded by two patios, which are connected by water passage corridors on both sides of the patio. On the right side of the house, there are small halls and rooms with saddle style hard Hill tile roof, and there is a long and narrow patio in front of the house connected with the main house. There are gourd shaped brick carvings (carved in front of the window) on both sides of the gate, reflecting the decorative style of the Qianlong period. the existing buildings of siluodacuo are basically in good condition. Among them, some of the huts on both sides have been reconstructed. There is an old round stone well fence in the east side of the Hutu, and there is still a qingdaohe stone beside the well. I shook it hard and didn't move. Mr. Wu told me that this stone weighs one or two hundred jin. In that year, Wu Bida practiced martial arts with this stone, moved it to the well at night, and moved it down in the morning, day after day. There is a row of ancient houses in front of zhuancheng. According to Mr. Wu Guoan, it is the ancient house where Wu Bida was born. Now half of the buildings have been rebuilt by Mr. Wu Guoan, and only the west half is left. Having seen Wu Bida's former residence, I was deeply shocked. In addition to the size of the house, the decoration inside is not as good as that of the ordinary large families. There are no carved beams and painted buildings in the former residence, which is very common and simple. Wu Bida was born as Wu Jinshi, a general of a generation, and his writing and calligraphy are also unusual. He is good at both literature and martial arts. His local records say that he is "good at writing poems, and has the style of elegant song throwing pot", and his works are handed down from generation to generation, such as brief introduction to the Navy and Bi Ya Shi Cao. There is a "Bixi hall" near his former residence. It is said that he studied in a private school at the back of the hall when he was young. Now there are plaques with the titles of "Bishui Zhongling" and "huiwo Wujiang" hanging in the hall. (it is not easy for the plaques to survive today. During the cultural revolution, the plaques were removed and placed in the corner of the wall. After the Bixi hall was changed into a tofu factory, it was almost burned down and later pulled away by Tongan noodle factory In the warehouse, when the Bixi hall was rebuilt a few years ago, it was pulled back from the noodle factory and hung up). In the hall, there was also a pair of wooden couplets inscribed by him. Because the couplets had the eulogy of "hufen" and "Longxiang", the "Bixi hall" was also called "Longhu Palace", which was a cultural relic protection unit in Xiamen City and Tongan District.
