After graduating from Beijing Institute of physical education in 1963, he taught in Beijing Amateur martial arts school (in Beihai Stadium). Since 1965, he has been acting as the Secretary General of Beijing Martial Arts Association. During the "Cultural Revolution", more than 30 people, such as Li bingci, men Huifeng, Liu Hongchi, Zhang Yimin and Zhao Huiming, were organized to practice Wushu in their spare time. Most of these people later became the backbone of the dissemination of martial arts. Wu Bin made a positive contribution to the development of martial arts in Beijing. In 1966, he won the title of excellent coach of national amateur sports school; after 1970, he participated in the preparation of Beijing wushu team, and cultivated Jet Li, Wu Jing, Li Zhizhou, Wang Jianjun, Liang Changxing, Yin Yuzhu, Tang Laiwei, Lu Jinming, Zhang Xianming, Li Jinheng, Wang Qun, Wang Jue, Yan Jun, sun Jianming, Yu Shaowen, Dong Honglin, Yang Yongli, Cui Yahui, Kou Zhanwen, Huang Degang and other excellent sports He was also the first coach of outstanding female athletes such as Li Xia, Hao Zhihua, Huang Qiuyan, Zhang Guifeng and Zhou Jingping. From 1975 to 1985, he was the deputy leader and head coach of Beijing wushu team. In the National Wushu competition, the team won the group "ten consecutive championships", and the individual members won 40 gold medals and medals.
He trained athletes to practice "three parts of merit": first, "hardship", which is the basis and requires the spirit of hard work, conscientiousness, tenacity and bravery; second, "dexterity", which requires scientific training, that is, to grasp the rules, characteristics and theories, and to exercise scientifically under the condition of respecting the objective laws of martial arts and grasping the essentials of movements; third, "refinement", which means to refine and keep improving Only when you are proficient can you make your Kung Fu perfect. He believes that "bitterness", "cleverness" and "refinement" are mutually reinforcing and complementary. "Bitterness" lies in "cleverness", and "cleverness" is bound to be "bitterness"; "bitterness" and "cleverness" are inseparable from each other, and the essence is endless. "No cleverness in bitterness" is foolishness and recklessness; no hardship in "cleverness" is bound to be self defeating. It is emphasized that coaches should pay attention to three points: first, they should have a strong sense of career and responsibility; second, they should constantly study business and strive to improve training level and management ability; third, they should be modest and prudent when they have achievements.
In 1979, the Beijing Municipal Sports Commission made a special contribution to him. He has won many sports medals awarded by the State Sports Commission. It was Wu Bin's Bole education thought of "never let go of a good seedling" that left behind this Wulin genius and Jet Li.
Another Kung Fu superstar, yen Tzu Dan, was also a student of Wu Bin. Wu Bin recalled: "when I saw yen Tzu Dan for the first time in those years, I thought his physical fitness was pretty good and he was quite suitable for practicing martial arts, but the foundation of martial arts was relatively poor. At that time, he just started to contact routines and had not studied systematically. His flexibility was relatively poor, so he just started It's time for him to study with the female team members, but in order not to dampen his enthusiasm for learning, we deceived him into saying that the main purpose of working with the female team members is to practice legs. But he worked very hard, listening to his brother, he was the only one who kept practicing after everyone else had left the martial arts school.
In 1974, the Beijing wushu team was established. That year, he was 37 years old. He knew that to carry forward the traditional Chinese martial arts, we need to find young people to complete this mission. Therefore, he selected the first batch of athletes to cultivate the seedlings with good physical quality and excellent basic skills. Due to strict management measures and scientific training methods, this team has achieved good results. From 1975 to 1985, Beijing wushu team won the 10th National Championship.
