Lu Xizhe

Lu Xizhe (1036-1114) was an educator and official of the Northern Song Dynasty. His name was Yuan Ming. He was called Mr. Xingyang by scholars. He was born in Shouzhou (now Fengtai, Anhui Province). His works include dengdanzhou city tower, he Yaofu's singing and four quatrains.

Profile

He learned from Jiao Qianzhi, Sun Fu, Shi Jie and Hu Yuan, and from Zhang Zai, Cheng Hao, Cheng Yi and Wang Anshi. He was born in Taixue, and became an official by his shadow. Wang Anshi advised him not to take the imperial examination, but to make a fortune, so he was determined to make progress. His father, Lu Gong, died and became a member of the Ministry of war. Because of fan Zuyu's recommendation, zhe Zong called to tell stories for Chongzheng Hall. He advised zhe Zong to take self-cultivation as the foundation, and self-cultivation should be based on sincerity. When he was promoted to the right, the imperial censor said that his advance was not due to the imperial examination. He learned huaizhou from the secret court and was relegated to Hezhou. Huizong returned to the government at the beginning, and was called as Guanglu Shaoqing, who knew Caozhou by Zhimi Pavilion. He was killed by the Chongning party and lived in Huaihe and Sijian. He read the book of changes and taught his disciples. It is the basic feature of Lu's family school to advocate "not to be the master of one school, not to be private". Later generations compiled Lu's magazine and Xingyang Gong Shuo.
