Main works
The title of Qidan annals was written by Ye Longli of Song Dynasty. Khitan annals, also known as Khitan annals and Liao annals, are the only existing biographical Liao history in the Southern Song Dynasty, which records the history of the Liao Dynasty in 218 years. Completed in the early Yuan Dynasty, the book has 27 volumes. The records of Qidan state always quoted the original text without any change. It contains many precious historical records which have been lost and preserved a large number of historical materials. There was a ban on books in the Liao Dynasty, and few books about the history of the state of Liao could flow into the Central Plains, so the historical materials of the state of Liao that can be spread to today are even rarer. The materials in Qidan annals are of great value to the study of the history of Liao Dynasty.
