Ye Shi was born in shimadou of Qiantang in the Southern Song Dynasty. He was a Jinshi of Chunxi of the Song Dynasty and a minister of the Ministry of officials.

At the beginning of LiZong, he came to know Jianning Prefecture, and later promoted Chongfu Temple (now in the west of Liangzhu town), and wrote Li Jing Hui Yuan and Zhuye poetry anthology.
