Lu zhairen (about 1470-1540), also known as Lu luanzhi, was born in Longtou village, longfu Town, Sihui City, Guangdong Province.
Profile
In the 12th year of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (1499), he became a Jinshi. He was appointed to be the head of the Department of water resources, in charge of the Jining river. The bottom of the local zhongjiaqian sluice has silted up, so zhairen proposes to repair it. At that time, Liu Jin, the eunuch, was used to exercising power, and the officials were obedient to him, but zhairen didn't flatter him and almost suffered. Later, Liu Jin was punished for treason, and zhairen was in the way to avoid disaster. He served as deputy envoy of Yunnan Province and was rewarded for his meritorious service in guarding the border. He was transferred to Fujian as an inspector and was good at solving unjust prison cases. Because of his mother's death, he went home to keep filial piety. After the service, he made up for Guangxi's envoy and left his post because of his father's death. At that time, the court had appointed him as the right Minister of Yunnan, but zhairen did not go to his post. When his father died, he resigned and returned home. He spent his old age lecturing and writing books. When he lives in the countryside, he is modest and prudent in his words and deeds. To those who offend him, it is a metaphor. If he doesn't correct his mistakes, he won't care. Zhairen is good at Ci Fu and has written a lot. During this period, he participated in the compilation of county annals and was good at judging. He was called "the gentleman of liberal arts". He has been an official for 30 years and has made great achievements.
Tomb of Lu zhairen
Lu zhairen's tomb is located in Da'ao mountain, Longtou village, longfu Town, Sihui City, Guangdong Province, on the left side of the tomb of his parents, Lu Fu and his wife. According to Guangxu's "Sihui county annals" and other historical records, the tomb was rammed with lime sand, with halo head stone tombstone, table and stone carvings. During the cultural revolution, tombstones and stone carvings were destroyed. In 1986, the people's Government of Sihui County announced it as a cultural relic protection unit.
