Yellow moth
"Yellow moth" is a modern painter Qi Baishi's painting of water and ink color in 1924. Qi Baishi (1864-1957) is a native of Xiangtan, Hunan Province. His name is Chunsheng, Chunzhi and Huang. His name is Weiqing and Linsheng. His name is Lanting, Baishishan, Baishi and Jieshan. At the age of four, he read with his grandfather. At the age of eight, he studied from his grandfather and liked painting. In 1882, he imitated the painting Manual of mustard seed garden and painted the statue of God for people. In 1888, he studied painting from portrait painter Xiao Mengling. In 1889, he studied poetry and painting from Hu Qinyuan and Chen Shaofan and changed it to portrait painting. In the 1892's, people painted landscapes, flowers, birds and ladies, and studied mounting from Xiao Xiangxin. In 1894, he copied famous people's calligraphy and paintings and organized Longshan poetry club with friends. The next year, he joined Luoshan poetry club. In 1896, he studied calligraphy and Zhongding zhuanli. In 1899, Wang Xiangqi became a poet. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he served as honorary professor of the Central Academy of fine arts, librarian of the Central Museum of literature and history, member of the presidium of the Chinese Federation of literary and art circles, chairman of the Chinese Painting Research Association and the Chinese Artists Association, and honorary president of the Chinese Painting Academy. He died in Beijing in September 1957.
