Study experience
As a child, Mr. Huang Yongnian went to a kindergarten or primary school in Changzhou. He has no family background. What guided Huang Yongnian to enter the door of learning was the book of solving problems by classics written by Lu Simian, which he bought at the occupied Changzhou stall at the beginning of the Anti Japanese war. Then when I was studying in Wujin junior high school, I found some ancient books to read for myself, and I passed the test of learning to write in classical Chinese. Huang Yongnian's review of selected works of Zhou Shu. He was admitted to Suzhou middle school, Changzhou branch of Suzhou middle school, which is not under the jurisdiction of the enemy and the puppets, when he was a sophomore. He had the honor to listen to the four courses of Chinese language, national history, history of Chinese culture and introduction to Chinese Studies taught by Mr. Lu Simian, which was equivalent to going to university once. At the same time, I learned from Mr. Lu simian that Mr. Gu Jiegang's ancient history discrimination was not a historical fact after reading it, and learned precise textual research methods. Then I got to know Mr. Tong Shuye, who edited the seventh volume of ancient history with Mr. Lu simian. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he met Mr. Gu Jiegang and became their student. As for the study of literature and history of Tang Dynasty, after abandoning the Nanjing part of Central University before the victory and re entering Fudan University, he bought Mr. Chen Yinke's "on the political history of Tang Dynasty" at that time, which made him jump out of the stereotype of discussing history on the basis of loyalty, treachery, virtue and stupidity. As a student, Huang Yongnian was full of admiration for Gu Jiegang and Chen Yinke, but he did not blindly worship authority. In his articles published at that time, he discussed Mr. Chen's "body odor and Hu Chou". his graduation thesis after liberation talked about Hebei's feudal towns in the Tang Dynasty, and also denied that Mr. Chen took Hu, the nine surnames of Zhaowu, as the main force of Anlu mountain.
Character contribution
Academic contribution
Mr. Huang Yongnian has a wide range of knowledge and broad vision. His profound literature skills are rare in the academic circles. For decades, he has devoted himself to intensive research and works, and has profound attainments in many research fields, such as history, ancient Chinese literature and ancient philology. He is not only a famous research expert in ancient Chinese history, especially in the history of the Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties, literature of the Tang Dynasty, classical poetry and novels, but also made pioneering contributions in the fields of edition, bibliography, inscriptions, collation of ancient books, etc He is a great master of science. Mr. Huang Yongnian successively studied under the masters of history, Mr. Lu Simian, Mr. Gu Jiegang, and Mr. Tong Shuye. He was well-known and had a long history. As early as he was studying in University, his papers attracted the attention of academic circles and were praised by the famous historian Mr. Chen Yinke. In his nearly 60 years of career, he kept on writing. Even during the period of mistaking the Rightists, he did not give up his academic pursuit. During this period, he wrote articles on the economy and inscriptions of calligraphy in the Tang Dynasty, which were not published until after the "Cultural Revolution".
Scientific research contribution
From the 1980s to the early 1990s, Mr. Huang Yongnian was mainly engaged in the study of Tang history, as well as classical poetry and novels. This paper studies the changes of Xuanwumen, Wuzhou regime and its influence, eunuchs and imperial guards, the political situation of Su Dynasty, the change of Jing division, the political situation of erwangbasima, and the party struggle in Yuan and later period. To make sure that these disputes are nothing more than power disputes, rather than the disputes between the common people and the gentry as is usually said. In the middle and late 1990s, Mr. Huang Yongnian went back to the Northern Qi Dynasty, the Northern Zhou Dynasty and the Yang Sui Dynasty to explore the historical events of this period. It is clear that the Northern Zhou Dynasty was regarded as a barbarian because of its backwardness compared with the Northern Qi Dynasty. The destruction of Qi by the Zhou Dynasty depended on the strength of the Fu Bing, which was actually backward and swallowed up the advanced. However, the Fu Bing lost its combat effectiveness because of "reclaiming the land and keeping the accounts together with the people" during the opening of the Sui Dynasty, and the Guan Long group, which combined the civil and military forces, no longer existed from the Sui Dynasty to the early Tang Dynasty. There are still many similarities and differences with Mr. Chen Yinke's old theory. As for the classical literature, he has written such words as "scholars first know and then literary justice" and "new interpretation of the song of everlasting regret", and found the only remaining remnant pages of the new red and white spider novel in the Yuan Dynasty, corrected the book of pilgrimage to the west, studied the process of the book's completion and the source of the version, and studied the true features of jinbifeng in the book of pilgrimage to the West. Mr. Huang Yongnian paid attention to the use of Marxist historical view to guide academic research, resisted the so-called "making the past serve the present" and other vulgar methods, and paid attention to solving practical problems in historical research. Many of his research achievements attracted wide attention and attention in the academic circles for their solid historical materials, detailed textual research and excellent opinions. Most of his academic papers were collected in the collected and published historical events of Tang Dynasty In this book, we can find the following works: interpretation, exploration of literature and history, manuscripts of literature and history, shuxinyishi pen talk, Xueyuan Lingshi, Xueyuan and Shulin. In particular, his masterpiece the political history of China from the sixth to the ninth century, which has concentrated his decades of painstaking efforts in the study of medieval history, focuses on a series of influential events and systems from the Northern Dynasty to the middle and late Tang Dynasty. With his keen historical insight, comprehensive and profound literary foundation, and meticulous and skillful textual research methods, he not only cleared up many ancient mysteries, but also greatly expanded the research scope The in-depth understanding of some important historical facts of this period filled the gap in the study of the history of the Northern Dynasties and the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and put forward some innovative new views from the macro perspective of historical development, which represented the highest level of studying the political history of this period and fully demonstrated the style of a generation of historians. Mr. Huang Yongnian participated in the establishment and construction of the discipline system of ancient philology, and wrote many works, such as an introduction to the collation of ancient books, the study of ancient book editions, four lectures on ancient philology, an overview of the important books of the Ministry of history, an overview of the important books of the Ministry of history, and the study of historical materials of the Tang Dynasty. He enjoys a high reputation and has been selected as teaching materials by many famous universities in China for the cultivation of philology talents, It played an important role. Mr. Huang also actively engaged in the practice of collating ancient books. He carefully punctuated and collated many ancient books, such as Lei Bian Chang'an Zhi, Yong Lu, and Xi You Zheng Dao Shu, which were regarded as authoritative versions for their excellent quality. Mr. Huang Yongnian made great efforts to popularize the knowledge of ancient literature and history. He presided over the complete translation of the old Tang books and the complete translation of the new Tang books in the complete translation of the twenty four histories, a key project of the State Education Commission. He also wrote the old Tang books and the new Tang books and the Tang Taizong Li Shimin for the motherland series. He also undertook the old Tang books in the selected translation series of ancient literature and history The six selected translations have become excellent examples of this kind of books.
