Huang qiaozhong, a Taoist, was born in Longxi County, Fujian Province in Song Dynasty. Huang Yanchen's great grandson.
In the fifth year of Chunxi (1178), he became a Jinshi with his younger brother Jie, and he entered the Imperial College. When he first served as captain Yongfu and then transferred to Tingzhou to join the army, he had good achievements and did not accept bribes. He wrote: "the salary is thin and frugal, and the officials are humble and self-esteem.". After Xie Shi returned home, he lived a simple life. When Zhu Xi was in charge of Zhangzhou, he invited students to give lectures. He was greatly appreciated. Later, he was appointed as an adjutant to assist in the affairs.
