Liduna
Liduna (1628-1703) was born in Jinghai (now Jinghai County, Tianjin) of Zhili city. At the beginning, he took the surname Du as a living member, and later restored the surname Li. He was specially granted the title of editor, Minister of the Ministry of official punishment and posthumous Wenke.
Personal experience
Liduna was knowledgeable, proficient in calligraphy, and entered his official career with calligraphy. In the second year of Kangxi (1663), in order to write down the records of Shizu, the imperial court selected people who were good at writing books. Liduna took part in the selection examination and was admitted. After finishing the writing of Shizu Shilu, he was appointed Tongzhi of Funing Prefecture, Fujian Province. He stayed in the South study and ate six salaries. Since then, he has been an official. In 1680 of Kangxi, he was specially authorized to edit and write daily life notes. He has successively served as zanshan Shijiang, Guanglu Shaoqing, general secretary counsellor, Taihang Temple minister, zongrenfu prime minister, zuoyudu Yushi, and right servant of the Ministry of punishment. He has been forbidden to enter and leave for 10 years. He has been careful and careful, and has put forward many useful suggestions for the administration of the court. In 1705, Emperor Kangxi stayed in Jinghai and wrote "Wenke" to his family. In 1723, the first year of Yongzheng reign, the Minister of rites was awarded to the emperor. Later, he was worshipped in the Xiangxian temple and presented to the crown prince and Taifu. He has three volumes of collection of Du qiaotang. Liduna is especially good at regular script. He is good at the style of the pavilion created by the heavy industry. He can also make big characters. His running script is full of roundness, broad structure and smart charm.
After liduna was admitted to the imperial court to select the scholars who are good at calligraphy, it was just at the time when the palace changed the plaques, and all the calligraphers wrote the plaques, which were not as good as the emperor's wishes. Only liduna's books were selected. He used to cut 100 pieces of square inch paper, write the same word on each piece of paper, and then stack 100 pieces of paper together. The size of the font, the thickness of the strokes, and even the structure are accurate to the point. His skill can be seen. Liduna had two sons, Li Tingyi and sun lizongwan, who were all Jinshi and officials in the dynasty.
Character evaluation
Emperor Kangxi praised liduna: "liduna Xiang, the former right servant of the Ministry of punishment, worked in the South study for more than 20 years. He was respectful, diligent and never punished..." His son, Li Tingyi, "in the 39th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi, he became a Jinshi and a Jishi. In the 41st year, he ordered Zhinan study. He inherited his father's attainments in calligraphy. He was a calligrapher in Qing Dynasty. His calligraphy was based on Wang Xizhi's running script, and involved Yu Shinan and Chu suiliang. His strokes were elegant, vigorous and varied. Tingyizi is famous for his great achievements. He is also called haoyiyuan. He is a scholar of Zhuxi and xintianju. He is also a member of shimingjiaozhongtang and xintianlu. He was a Jinshi in the 60th year of Kangxi and was only 17 years old. He entered the Imperial Academy.
