Huang Guangzhao

Huang Guangzhao (December 1932 - November 18, 2019), male, Han nationality, born in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He is the recipient of special allowance granted by the State Council. He is a famous Chinese forensic pathologist and toxicologist, and the founder of the Department of forensic medicine, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of science and technology. In 1950, he was admitted to Tongji University Medical College (one of the predecessors of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of science and Technology). He graduated in 1955 and stayed in school to teach. He was engaged in forensic medicine. He was the head of the Department of forensic medicine from 1985 to 1992 and retired in 2000.

On November 18, 2019, Huang Guangzhao died at the age of 88.

Teaching achievements

In 1959, entrusted by Hubei Provincial Public Security Department, the first forensic training course was held to train 15 forensic professionals. After graduation, they went to all parts of the province to carry out forensic work. Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with the efforts of all the comrades in the Department, 21 forensic medicine courses and one professional certificate course have been held successively, and 1028 advanced students have been trained. Since 1985, we have recruited 322 undergraduate students majoring in forensic medicine. They work in the public security, procuratorial and legal departments of all provinces and autonomous regions in China, and some of them have become the backbone of the local forensic science. Huang Guangzhao has trained 18 masters and 4 doctorates since he recruited Postgraduates of forensic pathology in 1979. He has also trained 1 postdoctoral. Scientific research achievements

In the aspect of scientific research, in addition to forensic pathology identification of injury and disease coexisting cases, autopsy pathology research of sudden death of coronary heart disease and medical disputes combined with actual cases, he has been mainly engaged in toxicological pathology research since 1960, and has successively done poisoning of common pesticides, rodenticides, toxic plants (Tripterygium wilfordii, Xanthium sibiricum, etc.), toxic animals (fish gall, cantharides, etc.) In addition, it is also the forensic identification of extragastrointestinal administration. The award-winning scientific research projects include: Research on crude cottonseed oil poisoning; research on hypokalemia soft disease, which won the first-class excellent scientific and technological achievement award of the Ministry of health in 1982, and participated in the Beijing International Invention Exhibition in October 1988 as an excellent invention achievement. He has published more than 50 scientific research papers in medical journals at home and abroad.

Chief editor of the first, second and third editions of the textbook "forensic toxicology" planned by the State Education Commission; chief editor of the "forensic pathology credit volume of the criminal science and Technology Encyclopedia" (which has been printed for four times, with a total of 3800 volumes issued); participating in the compilation of the textbooks or courses of "forensic science", "pathology", "Environmental Pathology", "occupational disease", "Chinese forensic practice", and "practical rheumatology of Integrated Chinese and Western medicine" There are more than 20 kinds of reference books, including Encyclopedia of China law volume, Encyclopedia of Chinese medicine forensic credit volume and practical acute poisoning encyclopedia.
