Kumarosh
Kumarashi (343-413), a prominent monk of the late Qin Dynasty in the Sixteen Kingdoms period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, is one of the four major translators of Chinese Buddhist scriptures. He also translated kumarashiva, kumarashiva, and a little bit of Luoshi. Tong Shou.
Life story
His father, kumaroyan, was born in a famous family in India, and later came to Qiuci, where he was born. When Roche was 7 years old, he became a monk with his mother and began to learn Mahayana. Later, he went to Qubin and shale, where he met a famous Mahayana monk in Shache Kingdom and changed to Mahayana. He is well-known in the western regions and also in the Han Dynasty. In the 18th year of the founding of the Qin Dynasty (382), Fu Jian sent Lu Guang to attack Yanqi, and then destroyed Guizi and robbed Rushi to Liangzhou. Three years later, Yao Chang killed Fu Jian and destroyed the former Qin Dynasty. Lu Guang ruled Liangzhou separately, and Luo Shi stayed in Liangzhou with Lu Guang for 16 or 7 years. In 401, Yao Xing attacked Hou Liang and welcomed Luo Shi into Chang'an. He was treated as a national teacher. He organized a large-scale translation workshop in Chang'an and asked Luo Shi to take charge of the translation business. Over the next ten years, Roche devoted himself to translating scriptures and commentaries.
Translation of classics
From the third year to the eleventh year of Hongshi's reign, Luo Shi and his disciples translated Prajna Sutra, Lotus Sutra, Vimalakirti Sutra, Amitabha Sutra, Vajrayana Sutra, Zhonglun, Bailun, twelve menlun, dazhidu Sutra, Chengshi Sutra and other sutras, systematically introducing the theories of Longshu's Zhongguan school. The total number of translated scriptures is different. According to chusanzang Ji Ji Ji Ji, there are 35 294 volumes; Kaiyuan Shijiao Lu, there are 74 384 volumes. Luo Shi's translation of scriptures is of epoch-making significance in the history of Chinese scripture translation.
