Han Yi, whose name is Zhonglian, was born in Zhending Lingshou (now Hebei Province) and moved back to yongqiu (now Qixian County, Henan Province), Han Yizi. In the first year of Renzong Zhihe (1054), Cheng, an official secretary, was in charge of military affairs, agriculture and government education.
