Life of the characters
Liu yupan, the son of Liu lvfen, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, is a famous poet and classical literature researcher. The woodcut version of zhuojiang official Ci was published in 1901. At the beginning of the Republic of China, he taught in Zhejiang first normal university.
In the autumn of 1919, he was a professor in the Department of Chinese culture, School of Arts, Peking University, giving lectures on the history of Ci, CI and Qu, and selected works of Chinese poetry and prose. In the autumn of 1922, the history of Ci was compiled, with a total of more than 90000 words in eleven chapters. It summarizes the evolution of Ci from Tang Dynasty, Five Dynasties, two Song Dynasties, Jin Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty and Ming and Qing Dynasty, and has many original opinions.
Except the history of Ci, which has been revised and published by Cao Juren, most of the other works, such as a brief history of Chinese literature, a collection of Ci in Tang, Five Dynasties, song, Liao and Jin Dynasties, the carving of dragons in the heart of poetry, Cihua, notes on cixue, notes on cilv, parallel prose and prose, were destroyed during the Anti Japanese war. In his later years, his Ci poem "zanjiao Ci" was very sad and moving. He devoted his whole life to study, lived frugally and was not good at managing money, so he didn't think he was buried after his death. His friends sorted out the books for him and found that there were tens of thousands of scattered banknotes in the books before he could deal with the future affairs.
