Ding Bogui (1171-1237) was born in Putian County (now Putian City, Fujian Province) of Xinghua army in Southern Song Dynasty. Ningzong Jiatai two years (1202) Jinshi, transferred Yongchun Wei. Li official ningdecheng, know Nanhai County, Panyu order, Tongzhi Zhaoqing Prefecture, know Shun State, Secretary Shaojian, living room, people and give things. He is a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty.

In 1202, ningzong was a Jinshi and transferred to Yongchun Wei. Li official ningdecheng, know Guangdong Nanhai County, Panyu order, Tongzhi Guangdong Zhaoqing house. During the reign of emperor li Zong Baoqing (1225-1227), he knew Xunzhou. In the first year of Duanping (1234), Li Zong got rid of secretary Shaojian. Duanping three years (1236) moved to the living room (see the Southern Song Dynasty Pavilion continued Volume 7, Volume 9). In the first year of emperor li Zong Jiaxi's reign (1237), he was incorruptible and benevolent, and loved by the people. His life story can be seen in the biography of the general annals of Fujian (volume 180) by Daoguang of Qing Dynasty.

In 1237, the first year of emperor li Zong's reign in Jiaxi, Southern Song Dynasty, he died of illness and died at the age of 66.
