Feng Xu (from Shunzhi to early Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty, about 1650-1725) was an official. Fangyin, named MianZeng, lives in Fengshui garden outside fengmenwai in Suzhou (Fenghong and Youyi neighborhood committee). Feng's ancestor was Feng Chang, a scholar in the Ming Dynasty. He lived in seclusion in Fengxi, Southeast of Suzhou City in the time of Jingnan. His descendants were called Fengxi Feng.

He lived in seclusion in Fengxi, Southeast of Suzhou City in the time of Jingnan. His descendants were called Fengxi Feng. Feng Xu grew up in a poor family. In 1674, Geng Jingzhong rebelled in Fujian, and all six died in Gutian County. Feng Xu failed to beg for a coffin because of the obstruction of the road. Soon after, his grandfather and mother passed away one after another. Feng Xu said, "why did you make such a mistake when you were studying calligraphy and sword?" So he went to Kyoto on foot and was selected to apply for erudite Hongci. Kangxi eighteen years (1679) in the second grade a 13 Jinshi, granted the Imperial Academy review. After Geng Jingzhong's rebellion was put down, Feng Xu asked for leave and went south to find his father's coffin in Gutian, Fujian Province. Feng Xu was over sixty years old, begging for rest, traveling under the forest, and died for more than ten years.
