Wang Shaosheng (1904.9.25 ~ 1998.3.11), whose breast name is Chaozhong, was born in Jianqiao Town, Fengshun County, Guangdong Province, in Qujiang County, Shaoguan.
In 1922, he was admitted to the Department of culture and history of Guangdong Normal University. After graduation in 1926, he was admitted to the Department of Chinese culture of Beijing Normal University, and then entered the Graduate Institute of Peking University to study Chinese culture. After graduating from Peking University, he was a teacher of No.1 Middle School of Guangdong Province. In 1930, he was the principal of duanmeng school in Singapore. He soon returned to China and successively served as professor and head of Chinese Department of Sun Yat sen University, Lingnan University, Guangzhou University, National University, College of Arts and science, etc. He was once the head of the Guangdong provincial Party Department of the youth party. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he was elected as the representative of the first National Congress by the Youth Party and participated in the constitution making. In 1949, he moved to Hong Kong and taught in guangkuo and guangqiao academies. Later, he was employed by Chongji College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Retired in July 1971. In September of the same year, he also served as a full-time professor in the Institute of literature and history of Zhuhai academy. In July 1989, he retired again at the age of 86. He is rich in academic research, literary creation and ancient poetry. The study of Confucian classics, history and geography, literature and so on are widely involved. Wang Shaosheng died in Hong Kong.
