Wang Lianying (1633-1712), whose name is Lianfu, was born in Xizhuang, Yongcheng. He was a Jinshi in the third year of Kangxi (1664) of Qing Dynasty, and was the author of yiantang poetry anthology.
Life of the characters
Wang Lianying was born in Yongcheng in 1633. As a child, he was diligent, studious and intelligent. He and his brother were called "Wang's dilemma" at that time. In the autumn of 1644, Wang Lianying and his elder brother Wang liangen joined Yongcheng county university. in 1664, the third year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, he was a Jinshi in the examination and lived for 11 years. In 1675, he was appointed as anxiaozhi county. During his term of office, he advocated farming and mulberry, compiled county annals, urged farmers to dig 800 wells to fight drought and save crops, and wrote songs of crossing wells and planting mulberry to persuade the people. In 1678, because of his outstanding political achievements, he was recommended by the higher officials, and was responsible for dealing with the problems of advising the court and supervising the six departments. During this period, he proposed to the imperial court to cut down the memorials of tunwei, increase the number of local examiners, and standardize the style of writing. He was favored by the imperial court and served as the same examiner in charge of the local examination. Later, he was transferred to Li Ke to print to Shizhong. In 1687, he went to Fujian to take charge of the local examination. Because he was not selfish in the examination, he offended Mingzhu, the Bachelor of wuyingdian in the Qing Dynasty. He was wronged, and was demoted to participate in it. In 1688, he went back to his hometown after asking for leave. He built a thatched cottage, planted bamboo and flowers, met friends, recited poems and studied calligraphy. He copied thousands of copies of Lanting paste and preface to holy religion, which are regarded as treasures by scholars. He died in 1712.
