Wang Yuan (1911-1929) was born in Yongfeng County, Jiangxi Province. His surname was Zhu. Because his family was poor, he sold it to Wang Juelu, a grocer in xiaobuwei, Ningdu County, Jiangxi Province. He was named Wang Zhu and later changed his name to Wang Yuan.
brief introduction
Wang Yuan followed his adoptive father in business since he was a child. He realized that the domestic goods were squeezed out by foreign goods and the laboring workers and peasants were exploited. He had the idea of worrying about the country and the people. Later, Wang Yuan was admitted to Lianfeng middle school in Ningdu county. After entering the school, under the influence of Communists and progressive thoughts, he actively participated in revolutionary activities.
experience
In April 1927, he participated in the preparation of the Ningdu County Federation of industry, agriculture, commerce and studies, and participated in the demonstration with the people from all walks of life in Ningdu county to protest against the killing of Chen zanxian, leader of the Gannan industry and agriculture movement by the Kuomintang rightists. He led his classmates to give speeches in the street, wrote slogans, and angrily denounced Chiang Kai Shek's heinous crimes. In June, he joined the Communist Party of China at the age of 16. Later, Lianfeng middle school was closed down by the authorities, and many Communists and progressives were arrested. In accordance with the party's decision, Wang Yuan left the county and returned to Xiaobu to carry out revolutionary activities secretly. In the winter of 1928, two party branches and a secret Red Guard with 20 or 30 members were established in Xiaobu area. He served as secretary of Xiaobu branch and political instructor of the Red Guard. On February 15, 1929, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Chen Yi and others led the Fourth Red Army to march toward Southern Jiangxi and Western Fujian, passing through Xiaobu. Wang Yuan was received by Mao Zedong, Zhu De and other leaders. Since then, the revolutionary struggle in Xiaobu area has developed more rapidly. In March, the number of the Little Red Brigades increased to more than 130, and they openly set up flags to mobilize the masses to fight against local tyrants. Late at night on April 29 of the lunar calendar, the reactionary "Jingwei regiment" raided the barracks of the red guards, shouting "capture Wang Yuan alive!" Seeing this, Wang Yuan ran in the opposite direction of breaking through the encirclement of the large army, while shouting: "Wang Yuan is here --!" Cover the red guards and stand out. Two days later, Wang Yuan was arrested in Shaofang mountain. When Huang Kaisheng, the leader of the Jingwei regiment, saw Wang Yuan, he immediately asked, "Wang Yuan, what are you going to do today?" Wang Yuan looked at him contemptuously and said, "it's nothing. If you catch me, you'll kill me; if I catch you, I'll kill you!" Huang Kaisheng said with a ferocious face, "are you not afraid of death?" Wang Yuan firmly replied: "fear of death is not the Communist Party! If you want to kill them, you can kill them. Communists can't stop killing them! " On the second day of May, Wang Yuan was taken to Xiaobu execution ground. Along the way, he questioned the Executioner: "Why are you accomplices in killing poor workers and peasants?" On the other hand, he yelled to the masses who were coerced to observe the punishment: "father, fellow villagers! When you look up, Communists are always killing! As long as the working masses unite to fight against the reactionaries, the revolution will surely win! " The fierce enemy nailed Wang Yuan to the wooden bridge. Under the torture, Wang Yuan, fearless, glared at the executioner until the last breath of his life, shouting "long live the Communist Party!"
