Wang Zhengyi was a chivalrous man in his life. He once supported the reform and went to the national calamity. He became a generation of chivalrous men praised by everyone. It is one of the top ten martial arts masters in the late Qing Dynasty. It is as famous as Li San, Huo Yuanjia, Huang Feihong and other famous martial arts masters.
Life of the characters
Wang Wu was born poor and his father died of illness when he was three years old. He had to depend on his mother and began to do all kinds of chores when he was very young. Later, he became a teacher and laid a solid foundation for his martial arts study.
At that time, the most famous martial arts master in Cangzhou was Li Fenggang, a double sword warrior. In order to improve his martial arts, Wang Wu wanted to worship him as a teacher, but he was shut up many times. He knelt down in front of Li's door to show his sincerity. Li Fenggang was moved by his spirit and accepted him as an apprentice. Wang Wu didn't live up to his master's expectations. After a few years, his kung fu was no longer inferior to his master. In order to train him into a more comprehensive talent, Li recommended him to his elder martial brother Liu Shilong to escort and wander the world together. After several years of training, Wang Wu said goodbye to his master. After ten years of Tongzhi, he first went to Tianjin and then to Beijing. He was introduced to an escort agency and became an escort.
In 1877 (the third year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu), Wang Wu, with his savings and the help of his friends, set up Yuanshun escort agency in Banbi Street (Chongwen District) of Beijing (later moved to Guang'an Street). Yuanshun escort agency has a wide range of activities, from Shanshan customs in the north to qingjiangpu in Huai'an City in Jiangsu Province in the south. He had a good reputation in a short time because of his standard employment, reasonable fees, noble morality and righteousness, and prosperous business.
Wang Wu is not only respected in his profession, but also widely praised for his patriotic deeds. After the defeat of the Sino Japanese War of 1894-1895, an Weijun, the imperial censor, tried to explain the malpractice of peace negotiation and demanded severe punishment for those who wronged the country. However, he was denounced by the Qing government and dismissed from his post of garrison. Out of indignation, Wang Wu resolutely took the responsibility of escorting an Weijun. After returning to Beijing, Wang Wu opened Xuetang street in Xiangchang, which was called "Fu Wuyi school". What is more praised and widely spread is Wang Wu's association with Tan Sitong. Wang Wu was chivalrous and commensurate with Tan Sitong's brothers. He taught him the skills of swords and swords, and they established a deep friendship.
In 1898 (the 24th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu), the reform movement of 1898 reached its climax. Tan Sitong entered Beijing as an imperial edict and took part in the reform. During this period, Wang Wu took on Tan Sitong's basic necessities of life and security work. After the failure of the reform, Tan Sitong expressed his determination to reform, awakened the public and was willing to be arrested. Wang Wu was very anxious when he learned about it. He made inquiries from all sides, bribed the prison officials, and widely contacted the Wulin people to plot to save tan. However, Tan Sitong resolutely refused. On September 27, Tan Sitong's "Six Gentlemen of the 1898 movement" was killed at the entrance of the vegetable market outside Xuanwu Gate. Wang Wu was devastated when he learned about it. In order to inherit Tan Sitong's will and revenge, Wang Wu organized many assassinations, but failed, which made Wang Wu's determination to resist the Qing government stronger.
In 1900 (the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu), the Boxer Movement of Yihetuan began in the north. Wang Wu led the people to actively participate and fight side by side with the boxers. On October 25, the Qing government sent troops to encircle Shunyuan escort agency. Wang Wu and others were finally arrested for being outnumbered. Later, they were shot and killed in Qianmen by the Eight Power Allied forces at the age of 56.
After King Dadao was killed, his head was hung on the city gate, and his family could not bury him. When Huo Yuanjia of Tianjin heard about it, he came alone and took off Wang Wu's head and buried it at night. That night, Huo Yuanjia lived in a house on the west side of the south room of Wang Wu's former residence.
At that time, Wang Wu had a great reputation in Beijing. People presented him with two plaques, which were hung on both sides of the door. Later, people in the courtyard built houses, and the plaques were taken down as bed boards. There used to be a XuanHuo open space in front of the door. The apricot yellow flag of Yuanshun escort agency was flying high. After the founding of new China, most of the space has been occupied by public toilets. It is said that Wang Wu's "Qinglong Yanyue broadsword", which weighs more than 100 Jin, was preserved until 1958 and entered the steel-making furnace during the "great leap forward".
The deeds of dadaowangwu have been included in Shao's film dadaowangwu, martial arts film Yidao Qingcheng (the first sword in China), TV drama dadaowangwu and Li Ao's novel Beijing Fayuan temple.

The most famous escort agency in old Beijing is Huiyou escort agency. It's on the grain store street outside qianmenwai. It's the largest escort agency in China. There are more than 1000 people. Their reputation has been passed down from generation to generation. It is said that "meeting friends" came into being during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. Some people think that it can not be in the early years of Emperor Kangxi, because in the early years of Emperor Kangxi, the society was in turmoil, the "San Francisco rebellion" was put down, and the geldan rebellion was carried out. Only when the society is generally stable, the commodity economy is relatively developed, and the people can move freely. Especially during the reign of Qianlong and Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, the monopoly system of salt was abolished, which provided the merchants with the conditions to pursue profits. He wanted to transport salt for a long distance. State monopoly does not lead to long-distance trafficking, but military and police escort. I think the heyday of the escort agency came after the second Opium War. The five member trade under the pressure of the West disrupted China's feudal self-sufficient small-scale peasant economy. People need to do business and long-distance trafficking. At this time, dart companies come into being. People call a dream of Red Mansions the Encyclopedia of feudal society, but there is no record of darting in it. Jin Ping Mei is a work of the Ming Dynasty, and there is no mention of bodyguards.
After the second Opium War, the "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement" was suppressed, but the social contradictions were still very sharp, and small public security incidents emerged one after another. So in the 1860s, Beijing's escort agencies mushroomed. At that time, there were eight major escort agencies, led by Huiyou escort agency, whose escort routes and foreign port semicolons spread all over China. The well-known dadaowangwu has a Yuanshun escort agency. Yuanshun escort agency is actually a small escort agency with 40 or 50 people, but it has a great influence. I call dadaowangwu "the model of the dart industry".

In fact, Wang Wu could escape. At that time, the Eight Power Allied forces and the Qing government did not catch him, but more than 100 people took refuge in his escort agency. Wang Wu was afraid that after he ran away, the Qing government or the Allied forces of the eight countries would take more than 100 men, women and children as hostages. He took responsibility for organizing boxer bandits and chopping foreign devils, waiting for people to catch them. When the Qing government came to arrest him, Wang Wu said that he would not resist, but that he should not be involved with the more than 100 men, women and children. At that time, the constable said: "enough men, you can rest assured." Wang Wu was handed over to the German military camp and executed along the West River.
There are two plaques in Yuanshun escort agency, one of which is "justice upholding Jiehe", and the other is "virtue and tolerance promoting". The "justice upholding Jiehe" means that this person is very righteous. In the past, a long-distance cart had to have at least two horses. Wang Wu was in a place called Tuoketuo in Inner Mongolia. He met several carts robbed by bandits, and even mules and horses were robbed. In the ice and snow, Wang Wu generously rescued the horses from his car and drove them back to Beijing. People thank Wang Wu and say, "if it wasn't for your help, we would have frozen to death.". So these people sent a plaque - "Zhongyi Jiehe", but Wang Wu himself suffered a lot. He had no horse to pull, so he had to help push the cart.
It is worth mentioning that "de Rong probation". At that time, there was a temple fair in xiaodongyue temple. When they were going to the temple fair, the Hui people and the Han people had a conflict. At last, the two sides sent a post to Taoran Pavilion. At that time, the imperial court of the late Qing Dynasty did not care about the fighting at all. It was only when people died that the two sides were allowed to hand over the killers. After learning about it, Dadao Wang Wu ran between the two sides and finally calmed the matter down. Later, the two sides gave Wang Wu a plaque - "Derong probation", which was sent in red silk. So it had a great influence in the local area, harmonious neighborhood relations, established prestige, and gradually began to build reputation.
