Wang Jiamei
Wang Jiamei (1866-1907) was an official and scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. He was born in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province. The son of Wang Taijie, a writer. He studied in Nanjing Academy in his early years. He was elected in the 20th year of Guangxu (1894) and was awarded the head of Zhejiang branch.
He once served as the director of Huashu town for many years, assisting in dredging the Taiqing river. His life is full of learning. It has a collection of 30000 volumes, including collection, writing and printing. Its library is called "chongsizhai". He liked Sinology and paid attention to collecting local documents. He is the author of six volumes, namely, the continuation of Sinology teacher's inheritance in the Guo Dynasty, the collection of chongsizhai's poems and essays, the annotation of Jinshu, the chronicle of Huashu Town, the chronicle of gongxifu's year, the brief chronicle of Longsha, the collection of Longsha's poems, and the record of Zhiwen in Zili, etc. And published his predecessors' works "Wan Wei remnant manuscript" and "Qing Xiang Za Chao".
