According to the chronicle of Tang poetry, "in qianning, the emperor was lucky in Sanfeng, and Wengui and the king of Liang (Zhu Quanzhong) recommended it." the "Sanfeng" here refers to Huashan, when Emperor Zhaozong of Tang Dynasty was stationed in Huazhou.

Yin Wengui wrote many works, including 15 volumes of denglongji (chongwenzongmu for 10 volumes), 20 volumes of Mingji, 20 volumes of Bi Geng CI (chongwenzongmu for Tang Wengui's Bi Geng for 1 volume), and 20 volumes of roubinglu (Tang Caizi for bingroulu). The general catalogue of Chongwen is composed of three volumes of "Rou Bing Ji Lue", without the author and twenty volumes of "conscription manuscript". The general annals of Zheng Qiao describes three volumes of "Yin Wen GUI Si Liu", and zhizhai Shu Lu Jie Ti Shi Ji Lei describes one volume of "Yin Wen Li Ji".
