Fan Zongshi
Fan Zongshi is a prose writer in Tang Dynasty. The word Shaoshu. The son of fan Ze. Nanyang (now belongs to Henan) people, yizuohezhong (now Shanxi Yongji West) people. In the beginning, he was the master of the state. He is the author of Fan Jian Yi Ji Qi Jia Zhu and other books.

In 808, the third year of Yuanhe, Emperor Xianzong of Tang Dynasty, Ke dengdi, a military strategist, was awarded the title of Zuo Lang. Li Prince Sheren, mianzhou governor, Jiangzhou governor and so on. Fan Zongshi was an official with good governance and a rich family. He was mean to his wife. Later, he was appointed as a counsellor and died before he took office. Although he was born in the military examination, he could hardly give up literature. He is one of the participants of the ancient prose movement advocated by Han Yu and others. For Wenli, he is humorous, dangerous and mysterious. He deliberately pursues strangeness and likes to use strange words, which is difficult, astringent and eccentric.
The original collection contains 769 poems, which have been lost. Today there are only two essays and one poem. Later generations compiled and recorded the notes of the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, which are fan Jianyi's collection of seven notes. It has a certain influence on the prose of the late Tang Dynasty and the early Song Dynasty.
Relevant evaluation
Fan Zongshi was the only classical writer in Tang Dynasty. Li Zhao's guoshibu said: "after Yuanhe, for writing style, he learned from Han Yu and fan Zongshi." It can be seen that Fan Wen is also one of the "Yuanhe style". In the epitaph of fan Shaoshu in Nanyang, Han Yu said that he had written 75 volumes of monographs, 521 essays and Fu, and 719 poems in his life, and said with admiration: "there are so many, there is no such thing in ancient times! However, it's very difficult not to do what our predecessors have said but to do what we have done. " But at the same time, Han Yu praised him for "following the rules of the text and recognizing the position". The epitaph of fan, which was unearthed in the 1950s, was written by master fan. It is clear and clear, and the text follows the words. According to Han, master fan has another style of work. There are 291 volumes of fan Zongshi's collection recorded in the new history of Tang Dynasty. There are only two pieces of fan Shaoshu's posthumous writings, namely, the story of jiangshou's residence in Yuanchi and the coexistence of Yuewang's poems in mianzhou, Sichuan. There are two editions of Xin Yuan Cong Ke, another edition of Fan Jian Yi Ji Qi Jia Zhu and three editions of Fan Ji Ju Du He Ke.
