Yin Kui (1331-1376), with the word Xiaozhang and the word Xiaobo, was born in Lvxiang of Ming Dynasty and moved to Kunshan in his later years. He studied the spring and Autumn Annals from Yang Weizhen.
Life of the characters
Yin Kui had studied spring and Autumn Annals from Yang Weizhen. He was disadvantageous to Jiangsu and Zhejiang provincial examinations, so he left. In the fourth year of Hongwu (1371), Yin Kui was recommended to go to the capital and got a higher degree in the examination. He was granted the position of prefecture and county according to the law. His mother was old and asked to be an official near the capital. He disobeyed the will of the Ming Emperor and was sent to Xianyang, Shaanxi Province as a teacher. At that time, Gao Qi, Yuan Hua and Qin Yue all wrote poems to see him off, expressing sympathy and consolation to him. During his four years in office, he continued to read his mother and became depressed. In 1374, he left his post and returned to his hometown. He died in 1376, only 46 years old.
personal works
Yin kuiqin's works, such as the picture of Daoxue Tongxu, family sacrificial rites, Kunshan annals, Xianyang annals, Guanzhong scenic spots collection, Shaanxi tujing, louqucong manuscript, Zhili manuscript and Weicheng Meiyu, have been lost. There are 10 volumes of qiangzhai collection and 1 volume of Fabao annals handed down from generation to generation. Yin Kui was good at prose, and was praised by people at that time as "having the method of careful examination, especially the theory of nature." Poetry is not his specialty, but there are also spiritual works, especially the poem "a journey outside the pass" written on the way to Xianyang, Shaanxi Province.
