Fan Huang (about 700-773) was a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Its name was mistakenly named fan Mian, fan Guang and Chu Mian. County Nanyang Lake Yang (now Henan Tanghe southwest Lake Yang town), Jurong people. In the 28th year of Kaiyuan (740), he was promoted to the imperial examination, and was also awarded the imperial examination. During the Dali period, Shi Xiashi was the master of the book, and once served as a member of the ancestral temple department and Du Zhiyuan wailang. During the reign of Tianbao (741-753), he served as a governor of Tingzhou and a member of the Ministry of war. In the fifth year of Dali (770), he served as a governor of Runzhou. He died around the eighth year of Dali (773).

Daizong Dali was the governor of Runzhou. The poem is famous at that time because of its unique rhyme and rich diction. He sang in harmony with poets Liu Changqing and Huang furan. Yin Yu once included his poems in the collection of Danyang. Rui tingzhang's guoxiuji also selected his poems. During the period of Dali (770-780), fan Huang collected Du Fu's poems as a collection of Du Fu's poems, including 290 poems and a preface to Du Gong Bu's collection. This is the ancestor of Du Fu's collection of poems. Historians all regard fan Huang as the first confidant behind Du Fu. There is a poem and a couplet in Quan Tang Shi.
