Sang Shichang, whose name is Ze Qing, was born in Huaihai (now Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province), nephew of Lu You, a scholar in the late Song Dynasty. He wrote Boya Gongshi poems in calligraphy. He was very fond of Wang Xizhi's Orchid Pavilion preface and collected hundreds of books. The collection includes Lanting Kao and Huiwen leiju. See the preface of Huiwen leiju and volume 5 of Tiantai sequel.
Character works
Huiwen leiju contains four volumes of Huiwen poems from Wei Jin to Song Dynasty. However, later generations think that it is close to a word game, and there are not many valuable works. Later, Zhu cunxiao compiled the supplement of Huiwen leiju, and Zhu Xiangxian compiled the sequel of Huiwen leiju, which shows the prosperity of Huiwen poetry.
