Wei Boyang, a famous alchemist in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and Wuzhen written by Zhang boduan in the Northern Song Dynasty are both important works of Taoism, which are of high value in the history of chemistry and Qigong. Chu Yong studied these two books and wrote two books, Shentong Qijie and Wuzhen pianjie.

Just bury in the graveyard

After his death, Chu Yong was buried in the south of Huilong bridge in Zhoupu. The tomb is shaped like a wooden fish, commonly known as "wooden fish grave".

Later generations called Zhoupu "Chuli" and "huaguli" in memory of Chuyong. Chu's poems are highly praised by later generations for their elegant artistic conception. Therefore, his cemetery has always been listed as the first of the "eight sceneries of Zhoupu". In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Su Song's poets came to pay homage to him and left many poems, such as the poem "Tomb of Chu Yong, a poet of Song Dynasty" by Kong Heng
