Yang Xigu, also known as Yang Yuchun, male, Han nationality, was born in November 1903 in hujiazhuang village, huangshanpu Town, Yishui County. He joined the Communist Party of China in the spring of 1940. In 1951, he served as county head of Huxi special office, and in 1954, he was transferred back to the Fisheries Bureau of Shandong provincial government for recuperation. During the "great leap forward", he dared to resist the "five winds", did a lot of investigation and research work, and later suffered from hemiplegia.
He studied in the village private school since childhood, and then studied in other places. After graduating from junior high school, he worked as a primary school teacher in the countryside. In 1937, he was the head of Yishui County of Kuomintang. When the Anti Japanese war broke out, he led a group of 40 or 50 people from the township to join the sixth brigade of the fourth detachment of the Eighth Route Army under the leadership of the Communist Party, and was appointed the leader of the fourth squadron. In the spring of 1940, he was employed as executive member of Yishui County constitutional Promotion Association. In March, he served as the head and squadron leader of Yishui Anti Japanese democratic government. In May 1944, he was elected as the chairman of the Yizhong County Council, and made great efforts for the construction of the Anti Japanese democratic regime in Yishui County. In 1947, when the Kuomintang troops focused on attacking Shandong, they were arranged by the party organization to recuperate in the Bohai area. During the "Cultural Revolution", he was criticized for the false accusation and his condition gradually deteriorated. He died in July 1968.
