Yang Yifang was born in Meizhou (now Dongpo District of Meishan City) in the former Shu Dynasty (907-925).

You Congmin is studious. Wang Jianshi was promoted to be a scholar. Wang Jian, the former master of Shu, was a secretary and was in charge of books and classics. His poems are concise, neat, profound and sharp. There is a "spring poem" that says: "the red sun on the beach is half away from the water, and the warm wind outside the sky is light to the flowers." The imagination is rich, and the layers are clear. The spring light, the spring breeze, the spring color and the spring feeling are all in it. Another "see the king privy Department back" poem: "rain whip from the door, a group of people from the sky." The style of writing is implicit and the meaning of the text is implicit. It was appreciated. In the later period of Wang Yan's rule, many scholars ridiculed his poems. At this time, Yang Yifang used his pen and inkstone as a privy envoy to song Guangsi (eunuch). One day, nine headed birds were found in Chengdu. Yang Yifang's poem titled "nine headed birds" said: "among the three hundred birds, I am the most intelligent, and I am the most evil. For several years, fierce shadows were hidden outside the clouds, and there was a bad sound in the sky. Cherish the feather to return the ghost cave, do not leave disaster and life. When the state extends the flood days, when it does not sing, it will not sing in disorder. " At that time, song Guangsi, the eunuch, lost his power for a while, deceived the superior and the inferior, and ran rampant in the government and the public. The poem "don't leave disaster and the common life" and "don't sound disorderly when it doesn't sound" obviously satirized song Guangsi. Therefore, "Song suspected Yang Jianyong and hated him, so he sent Shen Li (Hanyuan County, Ya'an City)". In the first year of emperor Xiankang's reign (925), the late leader lost his position, and the Song Dynasty was also punished, which was the response of nine birds. He recorded two sentences in Quan Tang Shi and one poem in Quan Tang Shi waibian. There is a biography of Yang Yifang in Volume 44 of the spring and Autumn Annals of the Ten Kingdoms.
