CEN Yongbin, the first son of Cen Wan, was born in Shajiao, Shunde, Guangdong Province. In the 38th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1559), he became a Jinshi and worked in Nanjing Huke. As an official, Yu Gangjie has his father's style. During the reign of Longqing, Gao Gong, the chief assistant of Taige, was demoted as the county magistrate of Yichuan County in Shaanxi Province for impeachment. He is famous for his talent and his work Xiaogu Ji, which was appreciated by Wang Shizhen, a literary scientist, and was published on his behalf.
