Hou Yi, also known as Zhongyi (Volume 5 of Jinling Shizheng). Zhishun Zhenjiang Zhi (Volume 19, Zhongyi), a native of Jurong (now Jiangsu). Living in seclusion in Maoshan, he founded an academy, taught students, accumulated more than ten years, and self operated food. In the second year of Renzong's Tiansheng reign (1024), Wang suizhi came to Jiangning mansion and asked him to support Sanqing Academy in the field left by maoshanzhai's grain. There are six biographies in Jurong county annals of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty.
