Li Shu
Li Shu (628 ~ 659), the word Lizhen, Longxi Didao (now Lintao County, Gansu Province) people. Tang Dynasty Princess, Tang Taizong Li Shimin 19th daughter.
I am good at calligraphy when I study the book of changes. In the 10th year of Zhenguan (636), she was granted the title of Princess of Lanling county and married Dou Huaiqing, the grandson of Queen Tamu and governor of Yanzhou. In the first year of Yonghui (650), Emperor Gaozong of Tang Dynasty was granted the title of Princess Chang.
In the fourth year of Xianqing (659), he passed away at the age of 32. He was granted advocacy and buried with Zhaoling.
Life of the characters
Family ranking
According to the biography of princess in the new book of Tang Dynasty, Li Shu is the 12th daughter of Taizong. However, according to the inscription in front of the tomb, Li Shushi was the 19th daughter of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. according to the epitaph, Li Shu's birth date can be deduced as the second year of Zhenguan (628). In addition, in view of the fact that the inscription was written by the emperor's son-in-law Dou Huaiqing himself for the princess, and the emperor's son-in-law is a close relative of Li Shu, the 19th daughter mentioned in the inscription should be a fact; while the new book of Tang Dynasty was compiled in the Northern Song Dynasty, I'm afraid it is misinformation.
Talent, morality and conduct
He has been intelligent and talented since he was a child. When he was nine years old, he was able to understand the subtle words of the book of changes. When he was seven years old, he learned the true meaning of Zhong Yao and Zhang Zhi. His personality is gentle and graceful. He doesn't like luxuriant ornaments and superficial music. His moral integrity is comparable to that of Qi Liang's wife and Lai Zi's wife. In the 10th year of Zhenguan (632), she was granted the title of Princess of Lanling county. She lived in 3000 families and was nine years old.
Marital status
Soon after he won the title, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty chose his son-in-law from his grandfather's family, Dou Huaiqing, son of Dou Desu, the family of empress Tamu. The specific year and month of the rise and fall is not clear in the history books. But after marriage, the couple and the United States, especially valuable is that the couple both love calligraphy and have attainments, it can be said that they share the same interests, which can be seen from the husband-in-law's personal writing tombstone. he is strict with propriety and rules. He gets along well with his sister-in-law. He is very filial to his father-in-law and abides by the law.
die young
In the first year of Yonghui (650), after Emperor Gaozong ascended the throne, he was worshipped as the princess of Lanling. The princess deeply abstained from arrogance and extravagance, and was content with frugality. She did not refuse the imperial court's Tin grant. However, although you are a princess, you do not live long. On August 18, the fourth year of Xianqing (659), 32-year-old Li Shu died of illness in pingleli, Wannian County, Yongzhou. When Li Shu came out to surrender to Dou's family, he should be given special treatment for his affection and courtesy. He was buried in anleyuan, ten miles southeast of Zhaoling. Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty decreed that Yan Lixing, the Wei Qing, and Yin Ling, the Guanglu Qing, should be called vice ministers to supervise funerals, especially to advocate and return them all the way. It is recorded in the new book of the Tang Dynasty, Volume 83, biography No. 8, and Jinshi cuibian
